A Table for Everyone
Craigslist. It's like going to the best yard sale in the world, and you don't even have to leave your home unless you really want something. You can bargain and trade without feeling intimidated, and make out with a new television or a job trimming bushes for extra gas money. You never know what you're going to find on there, whether it is trash or opportunity. I, personally, like to browse the furniture for sale section (and punctuate that with a look through the 'musical instruments' and 'for free' sections, hoping for a decent piano one day.) My sofa set is from craigslist, and was barely used and still beautiful when we bought them at an amazing price (although, with the kitty and my fat butt, they have quickly become worn.) Just Monday, I became frustrated with the over-sized dining table and bulky chairs in our tiny apartment kitchen, so perused Craigslist until I found something more suitable- a rectangle table with benches that fit nicely underneath, easily fits against out wall and can be pulled out for more guests. It is really something; solid wood in perfect condition, just the thing we were hoping to find, and only $85 after bargaining. Now we have an abundance of room to spare, and our kitchen looks better. Mr. has posted and sold a number of items as well. In fact, anyone interested in a round oak dining table and some chairs?
I've looked at real estate. Mr. has advertised his design services with abundant success. My brother-in-law sold his restored Nova to a man in Georgia. And then there's the "Best of Craigslist," where you can find things such as a giant vagina couch, and "Confessions of a BART Fartist." All of this for the low price of time wasted in front of a computer and nothing more.
Craigslist rocks.
